Interesting discussion. I think that with those giant tires 92kts isn't that bad. I suspect they are at least as draggy as a set of floats.

Walter, I remember well Dennis' problems with his catto prop. Hopefully I will have a different outcome. There are many of them up here on a variety of aircraft and I've only ever heard of two buyers who weren't happy. We'll see. I do have VG's under my tail. In its former config, the tail weighed 50 lbs. I always thought it was a little light and I was right. Having said that, when the gear was in the tail I liked the way it felt. I'll keep the group informed. Craig
