For some contrarian data...
I replaced the MAM with the 8" pnuematic Matco for soft wet fields. This
is the exact same tire that the Scott 3200 uses and also the same tire
as the front wheel on the 1800 amphibs. The Matco may not be a Scott but
at about $220. it is less than 1/5 the cost and it works fine for me. I
did modify the kick out angle but they sell the parts for that mod. Or
you can weld some tabs if you want to do it yourself. You might need the
adapter depending on the width of your spring. The swivel friction has
been adjustable for several years on this tailwheel although not on
older models. The only downside that I see compared to observing others
with the Scott is that it may be more sensitive to shimmy if the
vertical swivel post leans too far back. Mine seems to like a vertical
or even a slight reverse lean. ie top of the swivel farther aft than the
bottom. I also like the sealed ball bearing races in the wheel. No need
to grease it or be concerned dragging it through snow, water, slush,
etc. and no grease flings out of it.
I was happy with MAM's tailwheel on pavement.

That's a good idea. My 6" MAM tail wheel works fine, but it is so narrow
that is really cuts into the soft ground as I taxi.

I'd use the MAM tailwheel before I bought one of those Hank. The old "you
get what you pay for" appears to apply to the Matco, at least from what I'm
looking at in the hangar.
If you can get the spare change jar going... save up for a Scott / ABI 3200
and make a one time purchase!
