My cables are pertty much the standard Rebel route. I am trying to locate
them through the fuselage as we speak. Any help or tip would be very
welcome.

Subject: [rebel-builders] rudder cable exit
Miraculously (well, with the help of a laser and some string, and a lot of
staring) I managed to bullseye my holes through the fuselage skin for the
rudder cables. What I have is 2 neat 1/4 x 1 1/4 slots in the .032 fus-30.
My question to the oracle is; do I need doublers around these slots? I was
planning on having to hog out some ugly holes to get them where I wanted
and then put doublers on the outside to neaten things up, but now I have
the option to put the doublers on the inside, or leave them out.
My cable exits are way back on the fus-30s because of a highly modified
cable routing down the center of the fuselage. I can give details if
anyone is interested.
I plan to use 1/4 nylon tube glued in the slots with Sikaflex for the
fairlead.
Thanks.
Jesse
