[rebel-builders] spreaderbar attach

Post by Drew Dalgleish » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:41 pm

I'm pretty sure it's 6061 but not 100%. On most of the tubes in my kit
there was a manufacturers mark along one side and part of that mark is the
grade.

does any one know or is it safe to assume that the inch and a half

one of these in the kit was a bad extrusion and the inner tube won't
go in.Wanted to make sure before i go get another.

My machinist friend says and demonstrates that 6061 makes a clunk when
struck. 7075 makes a nice ring. The nose struts on the floats are 7075
for something to compare with.

Hi Jason,

Most of the extrusions are 6061 T6, the 1.5" and 1.25" are 6061-T6 (with
Round Corners).

Cheers,
Jeff
