There have been several revisions to that safety cable but 747R should
have the latest. I personally don't think a 3/32 cable is strong enough
to be of value even when looped or doubled. I guess it might serve as a
stop to limit bungee extension but I doubt that it would help if a
component broke.
So I'd suggest a loop of 1/8" or an external "Alaskan" 3/16" cable.
The 1/16" cable is for the door latch.
