I am currently installing the stringers on the leading
edge skin. On the side that faces the bottom of the
wing...nearest stringer to the tip....there seems to
be a space between the predrilled holes where one hole
appears missing. This is about 5 inches over and 5
inches in from the large inspection hole. It is
missing on both skins. Is there suppose to be a hole
there and it was not punched at the factory? Or is
this space left unrivetted for a reason?

Rebel- Wing leading edge skin
Rebel- Wing leading edge skin
Keith,
Not sure my reply is of much use because my kit is a little older, 496R,
before they showed the mid-wing inspection hole. As well, I'm not positive
what you mean by "nearest stringer to the tip". However, on my wing skins
there were no gaps in pre-punched holes anywhere. That includes LE skins
and main skins. The only differences are change in pitch (rivet spacing)
and as you know, that is how you determine left/right, inside/outside,
root/tip. I wonder if you might look at how and where the inspection hole
doubler will tie in to the stringers. Even here though, I used the regular
spacing of the prepunched skin holes.
