I am trying to put together an order list for extra fuselage parts for
strengthening mods. I don't need much because Wayne already included lots
extra stuff (thanks Wayne). The first question is the recurring FUS-10 vs
FUS-70 dilemma. Wayne swapped me one pair of Fus 10s for a pair of FUS-70s
so I have 4 for use on lower forward and upper rear corners. I am
considering getting another set of FUS-70s for the lower rear corners. That
would give me a spare set of 10s. I could then use doubled 10s on the lower
forward and move those 70s to the upper forward. Is that necessary, or
should I stay with what I have (4 of each)? I am planning to go off-road (3
wheel drive?) and floats.
Next question is the FUS-30 doubler. Is it possible to make a decent looking
one myself, or should I order one?

My 2 cents is you should be fine with FUS-70's top rear and bottom
front..and FUS-10's the other two spots. Definitely no need for anything
heavier top front..rear bottom can be increased for less chance of
"boarding" damage..but other than that it really doesn't take much
structural load on wheels or floats...especially since you already have the
.032 door sill pieces I bent up for you.

Much easier to fit another FUS-30 piece....but can definitely be done with
flat sheet from scratch. Make a pattern from poster board first...only bend
one side up first...attach to one side with a few holes/clecos.... pull it
around hard and then form the second bend. Leave extra material for final
trimming at the tail post for final fitting.

I'll stick with what I've got for now then, and start building again. I was
getting pretty sick of wings. It's good to be looking at something new.
