Electrical terminal stud sizes ?

Hi All

Anyone know a source of a table for stud size (the term to describe how big
the hole is in an electrical terminal - seems to be 4,6,8,10,and 1/4 as at
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/e ... lterms.php ) to normal
x/16 size dimensions such as 3/16 or 1/8 ?

I assume stud 1/4 will fit over an AN4 bolt or is that too easy :-)

You have it. Those are the screw or bolts sizes that the terminal will slide
on.

#8 would fit AN526-832, and #10 an AN 526-1032. Then it switches to inches.

suppliers in England?

We can get them here (although ACS is cheaper) but the it's the stud sizes
bit that was confusing me. We measure stuff in inches or metric here, so a
US machine screw size is new to me.

I thought it might be a simple translation to inches, but I've now ordered
up a few of each to make a simple tool to check the best size for each
screw/bolt I come across.
