Hi All
Anyone know a source of a table for stud size (the term to describe how big
the hole is in an electrical terminal - seems to be 4,6,8,10,and 1/4 as at
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/e ... lterms.php ) to normal
x/16 size dimensions such as 3/16 or 1/8 ?
I assume stud 1/4 will fit over an AN4 bolt or is that too easy :-)

Electrical terminal stud sizes ?
Electrical terminal stud sizes ?
You have it. Those are the screw or bolts sizes that the terminal will slide
on.

Electrical terminal stud sizes ?
Nigel:
4,6,8, and 10 are American machine screw sizes. #6 would fit an AN525-632,
#8 would fit AN526-832, and #10 an AN 526-1032. Then it switches to inches.
#2 and 4 are also available, but for some reason ACS does not list an AN526
part number for them. Recommend you by the appropriate terminals from ACS
or wherever. Surely these terminals must be available from aircraft parts
suppliers in England?

Electrical terminal stud sizes ?
Hi Al and Al
We can get them here (although ACS is cheaper) but the it's the stud sizes
bit that was confusing me. We measure stuff in inches or metric here, so a
US machine screw size is new to me.
I thought it might be a simple translation to inches, but I've now ordered
up a few of each to make a simple tool to check the best size for each
screw/bolt I come across.
Thanks again

Hi Nigel
To get the measurements for number sized ring tabs check out MS25036P, you can
download it (and a ton of MIL specs) at http://stinet.dtic.mil/. The exact
document address is

No Problem. Somehow I figured that being in the UK you'd have all the info on
things from the Imperial system though ;o)
