Hi everybody, I bought an early rebel kit and it doesn't have the F89
doublers that lie inside the tailcone. They join the side skins to the
Fus 30 tail wrap. Does anybody know the thickness of those pieces so I
can fabricate them myself.
Thanks

f89 fuselage pieces
f89 fuselage pieces
I believe they are 0.020
I think that upgrade was designed when FUS-30 was only 0.020
Sometimes the aft end of the flanges on it have to be trimmed a bit to
clear the elevator push rods so you might want to taper the flanges down
to perhaps 1/4" at the aft end.

f89 fuselage pieces
Wayne,
I had the same problem. I don't know the guage but it is a formed part.
It seems to me that they wern't too expensive from MAM.

f89 fuselage pieces
Thanks Brad, they are very simple pieces to make....just a bit of .020 which
seems pretty light to me. I have some .025 here that I will make them out
of.
Thanks again
