My kit arrived today, finally, and no damage. I have it all unpacked and
looking at starting the inventory. Looks like that will take a while.
Looking forward to this winter project, can't do anything outside around
here, -20F everynight and 10-20 mph winds to go with it.

I wasted a lot of time looking for parts when I needed them. Sometimes I
didn't even know what the part looked like that I was looking for.

Wray itemized the parts for his Rebel on a spreadsheet with a short
description and the location where he stored it. His description even
helped me a few times. Anyway you might want to jot a few notes on your
packing sheets as you check off items in case it helps you later.

Eventually I had to get some plastic cases with a couple of dozen cubby
holes each to put the nuts and bolts. I often found that one size
different from the length specified fit better so I needed a selection
anyway.

Mike,

Great news, so far I am enjoying the process of building.

Best advice I was given when I started was to create a list of all parts
and where I put them (even gave all the boxes numbers). So far I haven't
wasted any time looking for parts.

Other best advise was this site.

The spreadsheet is a GREAT idea! We did one with notation for where the
parts were stowed around the house & shop including in which MAM box they
were in (ie we kept some of the cardboard boxes & numbered them). Makes it
easier to find things later when you move on to a new assembly. We use it to
track back-ordered parts as well.

If you want a copy of our Elite specific spreadsheet let me know. It would
be interesting to see if the parts are the same for our very early (583)
Elite.

Thanks, I would like to take a look at it. I already have everything
inventoried and put in various boxes with labels. I also put all larger
pieces seperated on shelving with the pt. no. out front. I have a good start
on the stab, up to the point where I need to dimple the skin in specified
area. The problem I ran into is I need a 120 degree cutter to countersink
the dimples into the thicker aluminum cross ribs. I guess I will be ordering
from Avery monday.
