Fellow builders,
If any of you have installed a 45 degree B&C oil filter adapter, did you
have any problems clearing the cowl? I am putting the older nose bowl cowl
over an O-320 conically mounted.
Thanks!

B&C 45 degree Oil Filter
B&C 45 degree oil filter
Thanks, Ralph. I must have re-christened it a 45 degree filter because it's
angled that way looking from behind. It pokes above the windshield shelf an
inch or so, but that shelf angles down and probably needs trimming.

*-------------------------------------------------------------------------*Jeffrey,
We have an O-360 in MAM dynafocal mount. The mount is extremely short
from mount ring to firewall and we had to use the 90 degree B&C adapter
with a 1 1/4" spacer to clear the magneto, firewall, and the mount. It
does clear the underside of the windshield shelf with room to remove the
filter. It is tight but the filter is not to difficult to remove. From
the pilots seat the filter points at 10 o'clock and is parallel to the
firewall. I am not sure what you mean by "45 degrees". To minimize oil
escaping at change time I was told to punch hole in the filter end to
allow it to drain internally and then put a plastic bag around the
filter to catch any remaining oil.
