If I put 10" letters on side instead of 12" with no letters on the
underside of wings, will this allow me to fly south of the border.
Going to the paint shop next week, should be flying within the month.Yeh!

One other thing I thought I should add is in the experimental operating
limitations for my MX. Since the US has this statement in their program,
there may be something similar in other countries... I don't know.
"This aircraft does not meet the requirements of the applicable,
comprehensive, and detailed airworthiness code as provided by Annex 8 of the
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The owner/operator of this
aircraft must obtain written permission from another country's Civil Aviation
Authority (CAA) prior to operating this aircraft in or over that country.
That written permission must be carried aboard the aircraft together with the
U.S. airworthiness certificate and, upon request, be made available to an FAA
inspector or the CAA in the country of operation."

Canadian Regs are 12" (11.8" actually) letters on both sides of the fuselage
OR the old option of 6" Letters on the sides and then you have to put the
20" letters under the left wing as well.
There is the line in the regs that states the equivalent of "unless there
isn't sufficient area for 12" letters" but they won't "buy" this on the
Rebel and if your MDRA inspector is paying attention he is not going to pass
your 10" letters Murray (although I do know many who are flying homebuilts
with undersize letters and nothing under the wings).

There's a reciprical agreement on that Mike! All you have to do is find it
on the FAA or Transport Canada website and you can print it out for carrying
in your airplane. You used to have to apply for a time limited document, but
now it's blanket and good forever (or until they change the rules again!!)
