Bushawk (Fly-In)

Post by jgrant&amckenzie » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:24 pm

Thought some of the Murphy enthusiasts in S.ON.might be interested in this
forward from our COPA chapter.Though it is not a "fly-in"(which creates a
whole liability question)many people will chose the aviation method of
transportation to arrive. We intend to camp over for Sat.night as likely will
bobp and Anna. Some of you may have read the letter Bushhawk,Lauren Lee wrote
regarding her difficulties encountered returning to Canada with her antique
Aeronca after OSH.

Long term weather looks good for at least Saturday at T.J. and Laurens'.

Anyone needing directions - mine -head for the silos at Straffordville
and steer 1.5m S and about the same E.Look for N.-S. runway 3,600' x
120'a amongst the trees with "pinkish" pack barn at the north end and
lots of airplanes.
Or-- you might want to use Greg Wilkinsons' directions of N42.42.21 &
W80.44.42 ( Greg you're such a wuss)
This event goes on all day Saturday and Sunday, food and soft drinks
provided by host, overnight camping more than welcome.
Jennifer and Scott,please note -----
NEWLY LICENSED PILOTS WELCOME !! (and congratulated )
Thanks-Ian
