Hey Roger,

We've been wondering about getting the CD. Can you give me a rough
idea as to what is "on it"? Cost? Where or how to get it?

TIA

All,

I know this won't be of any help to you Rebel builders, but I have just
zipped up the entire Moose manual CD-ROM. My CD was dated 06/21/02. The
file is 72.5 MB, so be sure you really want it before you try downloading...
even with a cable modem this is going to take a while! The file is located
in the SR2500/Moose Manual Updates file area.

Post by rognal » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:21 pm

Brian,

To be quite honest, I wasn't impressed with the CD. It appears to have simply
been burned onto a blank CD and put into a plastic CD case. Yet Murphy charged
$17.65 USD for a couple dollars worth of plastic and a few minutes of someones
time to copy it.

I bought it thinking it might have a lot of photographs showing details of the
aircraft's construction. You know, photos taken as the aircraft was being
built. But it mostly has only photos of finished aircraft.

The actual builder's manual on the CD may be of use to someone who has an old
manual, but mine is #687 so it is relatively current, so it was of no value to
me. Well, maybe I shouldn't say that...I can now take the manual to work with
me and read ahead using my laptop...heh, heh, heh.

Once you click on "Files" you'll want to click on "Super Rebel & Moose", in
this group area 68 is "S Manual Updates". This is where the file is
located... you can also just click on the "New files" button, since it's
just recently been uploaded it will show up here.

What's on the CD was Re: Photos of Door edge?

Post by RJ Thomas » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:21 pm

Mike,

I went there and looked. I see 67 S Personalities and 72 Flight Seeing but 68 S Manual Updates does not appear.

Coincidentally, if I click on the new files button with the 7 day default, I get a blank listing. I need to go out to 16 days to get one file in that listing (Jim Moore's floatless floatplane). 28 days yields a couple dozen or so.

Thinking that this might be an issue with an old bookmark, I closed the Microshaft(tm) browser (thanks and apologies to bobp) and re-launched it from the link on your e-mail reply. Same results.

Any ideas?

Cheers, rj

Thanks for the heads up! It should work fine now... for some reason the security settings didn't take. Some time ago I added file areas for manual updates and service bulletins for each aircraft. Seems only the manual updates area for the Maverick took the security setting correctly. Anyway, I've reset them and checked them, you should be able to access the file fine now.
