question. The Stab. takes primarily down loads, and these forces have
been carefully calculated by one of the foremost aeronautical engineers
of our time, the late Dick Hiscocks.
Placing an extra bolt in the stab. brackets would do very little if you
think of the canterlever forces that would be acting on these closely
spaced bolts if the strut were to fail.
Anyway, wont see you at Sun and Fun this year as I,m taking our Rebel
over the Alps to Italy for a show there over Easter.
All the best,
Brian

Sorry you won't be at S 'n F - we'll miss you ! Anna & I are booked
into a motorhome again.
(and we're hoping it won't be "Fiasco - Part II" !!) ;-)
The plan at the moment is to fly the Super Rebel & the Elite up to
Toronto for the Toronto Aviation Show at Downsview airport, the first
3 days of May. I get the Elite - but it just <might> be on new 2000
amphib floats ! That would be interesting :-)
There will be a Builder's Workshop at S 'n F, and at Toronto -
the first time these have been held anywhere but at the factory. Spaces
will be limited, at $120/ea., for those potential customers who haven't
quite decided if they are ready to tackle building their own Rebel.
There will be a fly-out BBQ at Lakeland South Airport on the Tuesday,
at 5:00 pm, after the Workshop. (I guess we'll 'drive-out' ! )
Hope you get better weather in Italy than Florida has been having
so far !! Maybe we'll see you at Oshkosh ??
Take care ! ....bobp
