Hi all,
Am I missing something here? How to I attach the fuel
tank finger strainer to the inside of the fuel outlet
on my SR. The hole sizes are completely different? -Jason

SR fuel tank finger strainer
SR fuel tank finger strainer
Uh, oh. There are two different sizes of those aluminum fittings that get
riveted to the wing root. I almost made the same mistake it sounds like you
might have made. I test fitted the fuel strainer in the fitting before I
riveted it to make sure I had everything right. Big ones for the fuel
outlet and little ones for the sight tube and fuel drains if I remember
right. Hope you haven't riveted in place yet. If so you might have to
drill a new hole and plug the other one. Or maybe you could find a smaller
finger strainer (maybe for a car or motorcycle) although there might be an
issue with a smaller outlet not getting you the flow you need. If the
fitting you have is actually too big for the strainer there's a lot of pipe
fitting adapters out there. Good luck.
