Wayne and Bob,
Thanks for all the input on lighting and the oil issue.
I will take all under advisement as the project proceeds.
While at George Coy's place in Swanton Vermont I saw a really reliable way
to interconnect the Mag switch and an oil tank shut off valve. It was on an
old European radial powered plane. I do not recall the name but it looked
like a Wilga on steroids.
I have posted six pictures of the system on Maddog in the Super Rebel Engine
section. I think they are pretty much self explanatory.
Time will tell what we finally work out to "control the oil" A combination
of cylinder drains and oil flow control seems to be heading in the right
direction.
George Coy does have the cylinder oil drain kits. I am not sure if it the
same as Steve Culps. I will have to check both out.
Thanks again to Bob and Wayne and all the others who share on the list. I
know it takes time from what has to be a busy schedule these days ...
especially if one is in the middle of a project. Your experience is
invaluable.

Thanks & M-14 Oil Tank shut off.
Thanks & M-14 Oil Tank shut off.
Hi Don !
Glad to help. You should drop a line to Robin Dyck at the
factory about the oil drain setup we have on the demo Super - it
seems to work well. (Other than the cup of oil that ran up my
sleeve when I wasn't quick enough ! ;-) )
It could be setup with a remote cable fairly easily - but
you'd need some kind of container to catch the oil. You certainly
would NOT want to run it back into the tank - it comes out like
road tar !!!
