Wing Stringer Offset Question

Post by David Ricker » Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:03 pm

Hi Folks

Quick question this evening, in the attached (scanned) sketch from the
wing assembly chapter, MAM says to offset the 4 indicated stringers by
".....3/4" in from the root end of the skin....", what is not so clear
(and not obvious given some past experience with the manual!) is whether
they want you to offset the stringers in from the root end toward the
inboard end of the skin or in to the wing toward the tip end. I am
guessing in toward the tip end but a second opinion would not hurt
here.... Is the overhang at the other end an issue?

Thanks

Dave R.
