Aluminum cowl

For those who have made there cowling from aluminum - How thick of aluminum did you use for the flat sheet and for the channels? How would you do it different next time? Approximately how much did it weigh?

4 door cowl
4 doors are 20 thou but can be 25 thou
others parts 25 or 32 thou
i have variety of thickness as i used what i had left over
weight is very little
