Guys,
I think I need to put anchor nuts on the rear spar of the wing to hold the
flap hinges. Some of those hinges will be bolted onto the wing tanks. Are
there any anchor nuts that are sealed? If so, where does one find them? If
not, how do you affect a seal?
Appreciate the help.
Cheers, rj

talked of the same system and I'm pretty sure he has the hardware at a
reduced cost.

The sealed nut plates can be purchased from Spencer Aircraft in Seattle
1-800-424-1160, 206-763-0800. The catalog lists two NAS1473A# Steel Nut &
Shell-Alum. or Steel Washer and NAS1474A#Alloy Steel CAD Plating . They have
#440, #632,#832,#1032, and 1/4-28. I don't remember for sure but think I
went with the CAD plated steel, the cost was around $2 each. These nut
plates have a O-ring seal, I also used proseal around the cap as extra seal.

Hi from Calgary
If your super rebel is like my rebel, there are bulkheads between the ribs
which is the back of the fuel tank. The tank does not extend to the rear
spar where the aileron hinges are bolted.
Good luck.

The Super Rebel fuel tanks span the complete distance from the main spar to
the rear spar (making the SR wings actually easier to build than the plain
old Rebel!) and the torque tube is run through the leading edge ribs, not
the rear area of the wing that necessitate the bulkheads in the Rebel tanks.
