Panel Wiring

After some diversions on my other airplane, the Cygnet, and vacation, I'm finally back on it full time. I've been wiring up the panel and finding it to be quite enjoyable. I had Stein Air draft a pin out diagram for me, and I had it blown up at a local UPS store with a large printer. Its on the wall behind the table and I'm completing one wire at a time. I found the Aero Electric website to have some great tips on connections, use of tools etc. I'm also a big fan of solder sleeves. Here's a picture from yesterday.

Looking good Jerry,
I like your glove box on the left of your photo.........But you are the first person I've ever heard to say that wiring is enjoyable!

I completed all I could on the table and moved the panel to the airplane today. I still need to wire up switches, attach the bundles to the firewall, finish the ground tabs, and generally clean it all up. All in all, I'm really happy with the product. It's clean and simple. Throttles etc. will go on a separate sub panel centered below.

This evening, we turned the master power switch on. NO SMOKE! All the radios, intercom, and engine monitor worked without any problem. A couple of minor lighting issues that I need to re-route and put on a dedicated switch. The electric turn coordinator is a used Falcon purchased on VAF. It makes way too much noise and I'm on the lookout for something else.

But is there even the slightest chance you will hear the turn coordinator with the engine running?
Many an hour has been spent chasing noises that could not possibly be heard with the engine running.
I actually like my T&B noise as it reminds me when the master is on in the hangar.

Congrats on another milestone. And I agree, I doubt very much you will hearing the T&B with the engine on and headsets.

I powered up two more times today and the turn coordinator has smoothed out quite a bit. Must have been some bearing noise from sitting so long, but now, it runs smoothly. You can still hear it but not more than expected.

HELP!
Would appreciate hearing any tips, suggestions you have on getting at the rats nest behind my panel on my Rebel UL.
It wasn't neat when I acquired the plane and, yes, I've made it worse. I'm an old guy and have a hell of time on my back with my head on the rudder peddles. To facilitate my additions I made a removeable switch panel on the left angled side and another one on the right for fuel pump switches and fuel gauge for header tank. And yes, a third one in the middle for radios and the EIS but it is still difficult getting access to do a neat, bundled job. I'd almost want to remove the panel but that is extreme.
What have others done.
