Strut attach fittings

I just chromated and bolted the W110 & W111 strut attach fittings to the
right wing main spar and was wondering why the strut attach bolt hole had
not been drilled out yet.

I went back in the manual and found it did not call out for this hole to be
drilled out yet. I looked ahead in the manual to Chap 18 where it does call
for it to be drilled out to 3/8ths inch.

I'm wondering why it wouldn't be a better idea to drill that hole out to
3/8ths now, while I can remove it and do it on the drill press, rather than
trying to drill it out later when it is bolted in place and the wing is
closed up?

Or is there some reason to leave it as it is until I get to Chap 18?
