Well, unless things fall apart, my fast build Super Rebel will be the
demonstator at Murphy's booth at Sun 'N Fun.

Gloves will be available if you want to touch it...

David, are you getting a discount based on the "dent count" or a fixed
amount for the use of your aircraft kit for the booth??? If nothing, sorry
but, your crazy! Are you sure your nerves are up to your hard earned $'s
being on display at such a venue, for everyone to crawl all over?

Actually, I'm not too worried about the airframe, beyond some
scuffing of the chromate. It'll also save me about $2500 in shipping.
That's enough for a Skymap III or 1.5 used KX 125's.

Hi Louis !

I don't have exact times & dates yet, but Murphy will very
likely be doing at least a couple of seminars. Of course, you
DEFINITELY won't want to miss the Cajun Cookout BBQ for Murphy Builders !

This GREAT evening bash is usually on the Tuesday night, down
at Circle-X Airport (Lakeland South). We've enjoyed Cajun turkey and
all kinds of tasty treats there for several years now, and really
look forward to another FUN party !!

More details will appear soon on the Murphy web site - be sure
to order your tickets as soon as you can. There are usually a few
tickets left to be bought at the Murphy booth, the first day or 2
of the show ...

......bobp

PS
Sorry if anyone has had trouble reaching me. My ISP has
screwed up my old address, and have given me apat@istar.ca to
use for now !! ^$%%^**(&&*( :-(

My wife Elsie and I will be there. Just look for a large white "Citation"
travel trailer in the campground, or go to Camper Registration and they will
tell you where we are parked. Paul Michel R374, are you going to camp with
us again this year?

Kathy & I will get a rental from Cruse America this time, we were a little
disappointed with Bates RV last year.......

We usually try to get near the back gate at the bridge.....( near the
storage warehouse.....) We have never been to the first half of the show
before.....I suppose that it is pretty packed starting Saturday night ???

Hi Bruce !

Lakeland South is just outside the 'pattern' at Lakeland !

It's about 8 miles south-west of the show - an easy 15 minute
drive. You don't have to go to the coast to get GREAT food & have
a good time ! Our hosts Larry & Debra have a beautiful house/hangar
right there on the airport - Larry & his buddy Marty share the chef's
duties, aided by Debra & Belinda. We usually drive down in a 'convoy' !

You don't want to miss THIS ONE !! It's the best party at
Sun 'n Fun !!!!!

Bob,
Lakeland sounds like fun. I hope to join you all there someday. Right know I
have to work, unfortunately. And I must divide my time between my three girls
(3 to 16) and my lovely wife Laurie, who puts up with my airplanes,
fortunately. Their idea of a vacation will not be a week in Florida unless it
was at Disney World.

Bruce, do like my wife has been trying to convince me to do for years! Get a
hotel inside or just outside Disney World so you can drop the wife and kids
early in the morning, and after you see them clear the gate, take off in the
rental car for Lakeland!

Hi Bruce !

That's EXACTLY what <I> was going to suggest !!! It's only
about 20 minutes away !!

And - you wouldn't be the first, or only, Rebel builder to
do this !!

Hope you can make it one day !

PS
Sun 'n Fun is probably THE best place to shop for avionics -
MUCH better chance of a bargain than OSH. Also, you'll see all the
NEWEST, FANCY models .... (<all> kinds ;-) )
