Rebel Kit Chemicals

Post by Washington Rebel » Sun Apr 28, 2013 12:04 pm

Hello
The rebel instructions for the aileron covering say I will need to purchase poly tak, poly spray, and poly brush.
Does the kit include the fabric material?
How much of the poly products are needed? Quart or gallon size?
Also how much tube seal is needed?
I will be ordering soon so they are here when the kit arrives.
Thank you in advance.

Good question for Bobp or the factory. The fabric use to come with the kit, but no quarantee it still does all these years later. The chemicals for doing the fabric never did come with the kit TTBOMK. Tube Seal and EP420 use to come in the kit, but it became a hazourdous material issue so they stopped supplying it. You need so little tube seal, that if indeed I am shipping you an engine mount I can put some in a can.. and in the box when I ship the mount to you.

That said.. personally.. I wouldn't get caught up in fabric work while there is still aluminum to put together. Get the airplane built and once everything is about ready for paint I would do the fabric covering of the flaperons so that everything can be top coated with the same paint.

Ok Thanks
I asked MAM but havent gotten a response so I thought Id put it up here.
The fabric is step 2 in the instructions so I was just trying to stay in order but I will hold off on covering till later on.
"Hangar" is ready, toolbox is full, but no metal to cut yet.

Put the wings on and rig your flight controls. Same goes for the tail feathers. Do a full rig it will save paint and fabric in the long run. As well final assembly will be easier it saves time. The rig will not change much if any. Its the beauty of push rods
