G'day from the Land of OZ !


Just a quick question regarding the various listings for us "Murphyites"

The two lists that I have been aware of are THIS one (Murphy Rebel Builders List) and
the "Flying Rebels" list.
I used to send all my e-mails to BOTH....but now just use this one....

WHY, are we using two different lists ?

Am I "missing" any members by not using both ?

Is it possible / feasible to intergrate BOTH onto one listing ?

I started out with just the "murphy-rebel" list,
but was asked to also provide a list for folks
that had finished their building, and were
dealing with flying their Rebels... so I
setup "flying-rebels". I would hazard to guess
that everyone who is a member of flying-rebels is
also a member of murphy-rebel... and the flying-
rebels list really doesn't get a lot of use, only
85 messages posted since I set it up several
years ago. I also host the rebel-ramble list for
discussing the Ramble that Bob Patterson host.
That list sees a lot more action than the flying-
rebels list, and is very topic specific, so is
probably good to keep as a separate list.

As far as combining the 2 (murphy-rebel & flying-
rebels), it really doesn't matter to me either
way. It's no more effort on my part to run 10
lists than 1... once I have them set up anyway.
I'm happy to arrange it however the consensus
goes. My initial thoughts weren't to exclude
anybody from information they might be interested
in, but to narrow the topic area of the lists.
There are some members of the flying-rebels list
who would not care to receive all the messages
every day that are posted to the builders list.
Also, if you are looking through the archives for
a specific topic, in theory, building and flying
would be in separate lists.
