I'm happy with my W.Drive, it is a 70" x 3 blade of the original style (ie:
has a very slight taper in the last 16 inches or so, not square or extremely
tapered like what they call their "constant speed" blade that are also
offered now). It doesn't work as well as a 74x56 sensenich (like Bob P. has
on his), but it also doesn't weigh 40 pounds either! Mine only weighs 11.62
pounds (that is the hub, all hardware, prop bolts and 3 blades) spinner adds
another 2.32 pounds for a total of 13.94lbs. The Sensenich is 40 pounds Plus
the spinner. Mine hasn't shown any signs of giving in yet and if you go with
the W.D., why not put the dampener on it (seeing you already have it) as
this would only give you a total prop weight of around 24 pounds.

perfect fit. Would you use the WD again on your 0320? I also have a Mark
Landaul prop vibration dampener but it must weight 10 lb. and because I
didn't cut back the firewall I was not going to use it.

tell me what the best radial position would be for minimal vibration-90 deg.
to T.D.C. #1. or parallel to T.D.C. #1 (in line) or in-between. Hoping to be

Hi Bob !

Not sure about position relative to #1, but be sure to have it
positioned so it's coming up on compression between the 11 and 10 o'clock
position. This will make it possible to hand-start if needed, and also
help ensure that the prop ends up horizontal for a forced landing if
it quits.

Hi there,
The other position that is very useful for prop swinging is
around the six o'clock ( I would just have to double check the actual
compression position, I have my Rebel set up like this), instead of facing
the prop and pulling down thru' the ten o'clock position ( which does work
fine, but if not done right can give you a forward momentum towards the
aircraft) you use your left hand on the prop at about the eight o'clock
position and walk away towards the true left of the aircraft angling forward
a little, very safe and easy.( Remember to use the left impulse mag.)

Hi Guys and gals: I never thought I would be doing this,(at least not
this soon) but due to health reasons I am selling my Rebel "652"
.Currently It has 167 hours, O320 160 HP, Icom A200 radio, Flightcom
403mc Intercom. 4 each EGT and CHT, tach, oil pressure, oil temp, and
basic VFR instruments (3).
I built it with all the float mods and fittings,and all the upgrades
developed over the years. I love flying it as it out performs (climb
rate anyway) most aircraft at the St.Catharines field. It was featured
in the RAA Rec Flyer November/December 2002 and still looks the same
except for the Die spring Gear from O,Shea's Irish Field that I added. I
do not know if we are suppose to advertise here, but you may know
someone wanting a Rebel with no time to build. Please reply to my
personal "e" mail if anyone is interested. Demo flight can be arranged
