Do you want this big green box to go away? Well here's how...

Re: Bostik 1100fs
You might want to read the data sheet before you use this for your windshield.
http://www.bostik-us.com/sites/default/files/1100FS.pdf
Have a look at what it should not be ueed for in the section "typical applications".

Re: Bostik 1100fs
I ordered Bostik 100fs from Amazon.com and used the Bostik for the side (lexan) windows. For the front windshield I more or less followed the the very good install instructions at http://n254mr.com/node/1301 Using butyl tape and the 3M bedding compound will make for easier windshield removal if it ever needs to be replaced in the future.

To each his own ...
Bostick 1100 is recommended by the leading windshield manufacturer:
http://lpaero.com/accessories.html
I have used it on 3 of our Rebels, and had no difficulties
replacing windshields when the time came. It was extremely
flexible & easy to peel off, and allows the Plexi to expand in
summer & shrink in winter -- can be almost 1/2" difference !!
I also used it for skylights & side windows ..

It was just Bostick 1100 when I bought it, directly from
LP Aero - at Oshkosh, if I recall. They have a booth in
one of the buildings ... Most hardware/lumber stores
sell it ....

Thanks Bob,
I have tried Home depot & Lowes with no luck so I'll try some of the smaller stores. Oshkosh is not in my cards for this year.

Hi,
Chime in here with: We have used a product from a window/glaser shop, called glazing tape, it's a black 3/16" thick x 3/4" wide strip of plastic adhesive caulk. The stuff was $9usd for 25Feet. also handy for a quick float leak repair.never seems to harden totally.
