LG 26 (centre tube) to Fuse 5s hardware access

Has anybody put access holes in the bottom skin (fuse 40) to get to the
5/16"nuts and washers on the LG 26 to Fuse 5s attachment?
I have the bungee gear and the Fuse 5s are not split. Any thoughts,
pros, cons, appreciated.

Many thanks for all the replies, I like the idea of being able to come
thru the top, makes it a one man (person);-) operation.
Will also look at the nut plate idea.
