Thanks Tim,

It is very much appreciated, and I can assure everyone that I have put a lot
more into keeping this list going for over 14 years now than I'll ever
received in donations.

For those of you who have been around for a while, you'll have heard the
story of why I started the list, for those that haven't heard it, it was for
completely selfish reasons. I was interested in building a Rebel myself,
and there simply wasn't anything like this available on the net... I had
questions, and thought what better way to get the answers than to set up a
builders list. Well I've not got about 44,000 messages, and 1400 or so
photos as answer to all my questions!

I would like to apologize for not having the digest mode of the list, or the
search function working at this time, but just know that I am working on
upgrading the builders list. When I finally get the new system in place, it
will solve these problems as well as introduce several new features. There
will be some changes, but I feel confident that they will be well worth it
in the end.

For the past several years I have taken on the job of reminding all the list
readers that in it time to "grease the wheels" , so to speak, and to shoot
some funding to Mike so he can keep up the Rebel Builders list. We all know
how valuable this list is, and we all know that it takes funding to keep
things moving. So here is my annual reminder to all that it is very
appropriate to for us to contribute to this activity. Mike has a link on his
web page that will take you to a PayPal page where you can (somewhat)
painlessly make a contribution. I just made mine. We all know that the
economy is in the toilet, and that there is never any "spare" money,
especially at Christmas time, but Christmas is a time for giving, and since
we all get a lot out of the list, it is now time for us to give back
something.

I know that BobP has made this reminder a few weeks ago, and please don't
think of this as being redundant. It is important, so dig deep, and support
the cause.
