Tails deflections

Post by mikeh » Sun Feb 19, 2012 8:34 pm

Hi all,I had little trouble with the elevator throw, although did just a
little filing. Can't comment on whether the full 25 down is needed other
than to say the ultralight I fly now needs less down than up,but have the
required travel for the Rebel. The rudder was more of a problem. I have
fitted shorter 1/4 bolts for the tailspring/TS1 without the al tube and am
using the TS1 as the rudder stop. I have filed the rudder horn and the TS1s
to give more surface area to contact. I've seen photos of this being done
and it makes sense to me.
Cheers Mike
