Jesse: I have shaped .032" 2024 aluminum, which is stiffer then
6061, over various size auto tail pipes clamped in a vice with
the aid of a rubber mallet.

-> Cool, that's the first one I've seen with a one piece bottom like that. .032
seems like it would be pretty hard to work with, and I don't have a roller
either. Guess I might need to use one for the side panels...even with .025?

section bolts to the boot-cowl and nose-bowl, is about 10" wide with angle
stiffeners and doublers. It hinges the two opening side doors. 4 full length
piano hinges for the doors top and bottom and the lower full length stainless
hinge pins pull out from the front to allow opening and access. Should/would
have made those panels out of .032 as well.

diagonal float-braces that I ran from the top rear engine mount stiffener I
added, through the fire-wall and dash to the forward wing pick-ups. They
make quite a difference on a torsional dimension.
