Ken,
Thanks a bunch for the information. At this point I will look at the fibrecloth first to see what it will take to seal it like you said to prevent it from oil soaking. The second choice would be the stainless plate on the engine side. This would probably look cleaner but having to remove everything then back drill through aluminum into stainless might mess up the holes. I have already removed some of them to add the large doublers on the engine side for floats. Was actually happy the firewall was "complete".....
Sure wish MAM would have posted something on this on their tech support, they lost a notch in my confidence for them.
Really glad there is this support network to help out rookies like me.
