[rebel-builders] floats main gear high over center

Nothing in the manual. However the specified stop bolts are too long to
actually get overcenter. With a shorter stop bolt I have a little over
center but it is not a lot. Maybe 3/16". I could have adjusted for a bit
more but then the gear would not retract quite as far.

Is there a measure of how much over center the main gear should be when
fully down? I had one collapse yesterday in the hangar and increased it
about 3/16" on the threads of the stop bolt and it seems to work but
there must be a design parameter here which I don't have. This is after
a bit of re-work on the float in question. New bolts, mount brackets.

Thanks Ken. That's about what I set it to. Seems to work.

Hi Drew !

It's blank again .... Bet you just got a new computer,
and WinDoze is set to send HTML Email - which gets stripped
out here. Just change the settings to TEXT - it's safer and
smaller ! :-)
