Fus 5 Holes for LG 26

Post by Roland Kriening » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:23 pm

Building the regular landing gear model... Fus 5 shows two 5/16 holes
drilled, but does not indicate if they go completely through both fus 5s.
The instructions say not to drill any holes in the front Fus 5, so I have
drilled the back Fus 5 to 5/16. Looking ahead in the plans, it shows a
AN5-20 bolting the LG 26s to the Fus 5, but is not clear which Fus 5 they
are bolted to, front or back. As the bolt is only a 20, it will only go
through one Fus 5. By the way I left my Fus 5s full and did not cut in half.

Logic tells me that the bolt should go through both Fus 5s as well as the LG
26. So I guess I must drill a hole big enough to get the bolt and a socket
into, same as with the holes at the end of the Fus 5.

Just looking for some guidance... as replacement parts are hard to come by.
