From the manual, "Please note the rear spar fittings are not bolted up tight
when fitting the wings. The wing fittings
"float" inside the fuselage fittings." (so no spacers).
Yes, rear spar attach hole is 3/8"

I did read that. I thought whereas it said during fit up, it may be tight
