there is a company over here in Germany with a modified Maverick. It has
matellized wings as you requested. It's running in the european
ultralight category, up to 472 kg (1040 lbs), including recovery parachute.
You can find information on it: www.phoenix-aircraft.de/maverick.htm
Unfortunately the web site is in German. I can provide a translation if
required.

Has anyone heard of a builder metalizing the wings on the Murphy Maverick?
People used to do it on their old Luscombes and Cessna 140s? To my understanding the Maverick was designed to meet the stringent Japanese Ultralight criteria. So if one was building a Maverick to meet Light Sport in the US., why not metalize the wings. Cris
