The recommended location for VGs is at 10% cord. This location on the
Rebel is right about where the third row of rivets are located. Are the VGs
being placed forward or aft of this third row of rivets?

[rebel-builders] VGs on the Rebel

The question is should the VGs be placed in front of or behind the third row
of rivets? Since the 10% of cord distance is a general rule of thumb, I'd
like to know what the placement on actual Rebels has been to give the best
performance.

[rebel-builders] VGs on the Rebel

Hank, I have the VG's on mine and installed them right at the 10% chord.
Can't remember exactly which row of rivets they were behind. But if you take
a square and make it flush with the leading edge and measure back 6 inches
(full chord is 60 inches), that is the location. The centre of the VG should
be 6 inches behind the leading edge. There was no interference with any
rivets on mine. They were spaced 3 inches apart.

I did mine exactly to the instructions given, and they worked out perfectly.
