Looking for Rebel to fly to Alaska in loose formation, any one out there would be interested to join?

Hi Jay Angus McKenzie had 8:50's on his plane when it was on wheels with
no issues. Which wheels do you have? I had to add spacers to silver Matco
ones when I switched to 8:00's

Jay
Angus had bungee gear on his plane. There's a bunch of different 6" wheels
that MAM has shipped over the years some are better than others.

I wonder if the spring gear is strong enough for those tires (8.50 x 6)? Thanks for the info. I guess I need to find out the width of the wheel before I purchase one.

Do you have Air Track 8.00x6 tires? I may face the same problem then.

We have 8:00 -6 on our Elite as a MAM upgrade and there is only a hairs breadth of room from the tire to the caliper. That after MAM supplied new calipers as the originals were interfering. I looked at spacing them out but the longer AN3 bolts required were about US$8.00 each at the time plus having to make the spacers.

Pleased you recall that fact Drew, 8:50x6 McCreary Air-Trac's. Had some
probs with
proper tube valve stem angle/shape, ended up using a long braided stainless
valve stem extender that routes to the proper outlet hole.
No figures but they slow you down.

Wheels are made by Murphy and are standard 6" with no mods to brakes or
anything. Other than removal of all plastic lines and installation of alum.
and braided stainless from your feet to the calipers. Much more positive.
Did machine the axle ends to insure 1 degree toe-in of wheel alignment for
obvious reasons.

My old 6 x 9044 rings ea.side bungee gear is on FINR now and when the floats
come
off next for service I've got new die spring gear to install.
