Hi Keith,
I don't have all the dimensions but I will be more than willing to get
them for you.
What I do have is an idea. I have been helping move several straight
float aircraft for winter storage. 2 Aeronca Sedans, Super Cub, and 2 Cubs.
What we use is a Pontoon boat trailer that fits nicely between the floats and
with a couple of padded 2x6's under the spreader bars. notched for the
bolts. We are careful where the CG is on the trailer and the move is only about
1/2 mile to the airport from the boat launch. We do trim the trees every
year and move slowly. It is stable though. Just a thought.
I'll work on the dimensions for you.

Keith,
Went and measured the floats today. Rain and low ceilings so no flying:(
As requested, the chine to chine outside is 124.5", the chine to chine
inside is 66.5". Keel to Keel is 95".
Add another 4" for the accelerators for outside dimension, and subtract
4" for in between the floats for the same reason.

Thanks Curt! I am currently using something similar to move my Champ in and out of the hangar to the lake. It is an old homemade trailer that lifts via the spreader bars on the floats. I use 2x6's cut to fit under the speader bars but it still seems like they "bow" a bit when it is lifted. It is also very tippy when moving the plane. I may just build something similar but better. This thing was build by the guy that had the seaplane base and was used for his business. It was built VERY heavy and I think you could move a DC-3 with it.
Does anyone have plans for a "lifting" type trailer?
