[rebel-builders] Test...kind of. And a wait time for MAM.

Post by Michael Kraus » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:12 pm

Took me 1.5 years to get all my parts for my Moose kit. Then I
ordered some options in December and I still don't have them. They
were promised on January.....

And I used to complain when Vans Aircraft
took 5 days to get a shipment out....

Hi All,

May as well piggy back the next issue on also: I was emailing Jeff

availability...".

Haven't heard anything since despite a couple followups by me.
What's the
usual wait time with MAM?

Thanks,
Fred

There's got to be a better way than this. I can't believe how much money I
paid for this feeling of frustration.

I knew I should have gone with a Bearhawk.

This may be why you had to wait so long, Mike.....

I just checked the Better Business Bureau in Vancouver. This is what I
found.

Murphy has a D- rating!!!!!!

BBB Reliability Report for
Murphy Aircraft Mfg. Ltd.

BBB Rating

Based on BBB files, this business has a BBB Rating of D-.
Reasons for this rating include:

- Failure to respond to complaints filed against business.

Makes sense about the D rating. I went in person, cause i live in close, in
seattle, and because i knew it would take forever to get my stuff. I was
thoroughly unimpressed with them. I will avoid going to them at ALL COSTS. I
dont have any good advice to offer tho. Make stuff yourself. :)

Just be glad they're still there fellas! Can't say that for a VERY VERY long
list of aircraft kit mfgs that have walked the face of North America in the
last 2 decades.

Posts like this may just help Darryl throw his hands in the air and say
"Fuck this!!".

And as for contact.. me.. about 2 days.. but sometimes when they're in over
the head a week tops

Part shipments.. sometimes the next day.. sometimes a month or more wait
pending stock and need to mfg..

[rebel-builders] Test...kind of. And a wait time for MAM.

Post by Fred Messinger (fredm) » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:12 pm

Here's an update from my situation. I got a hold of Jeff by phone and it
turns out that he had a couple of the parts there and hadn't gotten around
to finding the others because he was so busy. Apparently, they have him
supporting three different groups because of all of the scale-backs they
have been doing. He had seen all of my emails but hadn't responded because
he was so busy. He's a good guy just trying to keep his head above water.

So, the root cause was probably and email protocol difference.

Wow, can't believe what I am reading here. If you keep crapping on people,
you're going to get crapped on yourself.

These are people that are going through tough times working their butts off,
so you and others can realize their dream. If you don't want to put up with
a few challenges, then go buy a new Cessna. But then all you will have is a
Cessna. Same goes for Bearhawk.

The best things in life are not easy.

Have been flying my Rebel for quite a few years now, and would do it all
over again without any doubt or hesitation.

Walter
