We are about to close the tanks and need to make a number of right angle
sheet metal pieces to slip over the stringers. These are in turn riveted
to the rib and tank skin at each stringer tank penetration. The intent is
to minimize the dependence on Proseal to fill the gaps. Does anyone have a
tip on how to cut the "J" cutout in these to most closely fit the stringer?
My best thought so far is a Dremel with 1/8" carbide rotary cutter to act
as a router.

I found that the spiral scroll saw blade by Craftsman in a scroll saw works
great.

It makes it a very simple process

Be careful not to make those 'J's TOO tight, Ralph ! Several builders
had problems because they didn't leave enough slop for the ProSeal to
ooze out around the stringers .....

FWIW, some have made these plates with the cutout for BOTH
sides of the bulkheads, putting the ProSeal in between, and letting it
fill the space & ooze out to make a complete seal .....

(kind of a yucky reverse Oreo !! ;-) )

Ralph that's what I used. Another tip before closing the tank up make up little plates
with the top skin hole patterns to hold the angles and stringers in place, then goop the
angles and stringers up and let harden before installing the top. Don't worry about
little gaps as you can close them up easily using this method.
