Well Ron you should be excited - the panel looks great!
Does that mean the first start up isn't too far off??

Happy New Year!

Although seeing the panel all lit up is not as great a feeling as it will be
to eventually fly this thing, still... I'll take it! :-) After I've cleaned

photo to the builders site file archives.

Panel looks great. Another major milestone. That flight director looks like
it will be great fun to fly.

Thanks for all the encouraging comments. First engine start is drawing
closer, but with several small things left to do, I expect it still may be a
month or two out. Will be gone part of Feb. for southern R&R, etc.

The major distraction right now will be (is!) playing with all the buttons
instead of building but... it's all good. At least until my next screw up
which, according to the mysterious schedule of fate, is due pretty soon now.

Kevin & Nancy Mayville

[rebel-builders] panel happens

Post by Kevin & Nancy Mayville » Sun Feb 19, 2012 5:07 pm

Hey Guys

Very nice panel !!!!!!

I purchased my Rebel from my EAA Chapter which we had built over the last
ten years. It came with some brake issues which I have rectified. I just
recently competed the 25 hour Transport Canada requirements and my 10 hour
check out ( tail wheel ) for my insurance. We haven't had a lot of good
weather lately, so I haven't flown in over a month! I just took my panel
apart yesterday to install a intercom , it was set up to use the built in
intercom of the radio ( ICOM200) which did not work well. I just installed a
oil filter adapter and a oil sump heater. I hope to rack up the hours this
year and bring the plane home next winter to finish the interior and paint
( I have all the plastic panels ) .

My plane was built with the windows hinged a the top, I want to change them
back to original but I am not sure about the latching system, ( how you
open the door/window from the outside) If some one can explain it or has any
photos that would be great!

I am having problems posting a message on the web site, not sure of the
address, so I hope this reply works.

Thanks
Kevin Mayville
