[rebel-builders] Pictures - Thank you !

Post by Gary Gustafson » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:56 pm

One thing that I found of interest and value was the list of
builders/owners where they lived, which Murphy plane they had, and
the status of completion or first flight. I for one would like to
see that again (maybe use the old list as a starting point). The
old site was at: http://www.murphyair.com/builders/maildir_A.htm
and it is still in operation. Good starting point and probably
needs a lot of updating.

This is a big THANK YOU !! ..... To the FOUR builders
who have sent along pictures of their aircraft. They are
MAGNIFICENT photos !!! Angus' Rebel, John's Elite,
and Jim's Ramble shots are just great - and you'll see
Joe's 'Moose in a Rebel' soon !

A few of these are already gracing the web site -
http://www.murphyair.com
I've been changing them every few days - - trying for weekly,
or thereabouts ...
BUT - I'm running out of pics again !!

I'd like to try something a bit different now & then -
pictures of kits under construction - with the smiling builder included ....
if possible, following the 'almost square' format we have now.
(Don't worry - I can make them fit !)

We're also trying to add things to the site to make it more
interesting & useful - Upcoming Events will have the Builders Meeting
information. Tech Tips will be reminders & helpful tips from
the factory ... and there's more coming. Check back often -
and send your airport buddies (we want more Murphy kits
out there !! :-) )

Trying to keep the web site interesting is a lot of work,
on top of keeping up with hundreds of emails & phone calls -
it's great to know that, even in this tough economy, there's
lots of interest in Murphy kits, all over the world ! You are
building one of the best airplanes out there ! Keep rivetting -
it IS worth it ! :-)
I've made a tiny start on building a worldwide network of
'Sales Advisors' - and the hope is to have Builders Meetings in
every other country where we have kits ! Long way to go ....

Anyway - PLEASE help out by sending me a picture or 2 if
you can ... I might not use them all, but it's nice to have a
bunch to choose from ...

Thanks !!

Drew,

Not sure why you've disappeared from the Frappr! map/group. As far as I
know, there is no timeout of any kind. Give it another go, and let me know
if you have a problem.

Ron

Hi Ron I think I'm on there again. I was able to find a picture I uploaded
still there so I'm not sure what happened.

[rebel-builders] Pictures - Thank you !

I have about 300 3/16 tank rivets that I can't use and would like to trade
for some stainless ones...specifically 5606. As for why I have these
rivets I can only say the words Mattic Industries. Ordering and dealing
with them has been "interesting" and challenging. I need to find a new
location, preferably one in the US for shipping and other reasons.

Also, for any new members, I have an untouched rebel dash and also a split
flap/aileron kit I'd like to sell/trade. Craig
