Hi all,
I have a question about fus39 - it's the first bottom sheet forward of the
tail cone. I just finished buttoning up the tail and moving forward the
manual says cleco fuse39 to the front of the tailcone and by all the
pictures in the manual fus39 should have flanges bent up along the sides.
There are notches in the bulkheads I will be putting in for these flanges.
But my fus39 has no flanges! It's just a flat sheet with holes punched
along two sides. Can anybody confirm if there is suppose to be flanges or
not on this part? Sure seems to me they ought to be there.
Joel

Hi Joel
I went out and looked at my fus 39 it is also just a flat sheet without any
flanges. The notches in the bulkheads are there so the same part can be used
in different locations. A quick tip ... It helps if you use the prepunched
holes in fus 40 as a template for the row of holes across the center of fus
39, makes a nice straight line with even spacing.
Also read ahead on float hard points.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the sanity check! I already have the hard points installed -
appreciate the tip on hole spacing.

Joel, it makes it alot easier to work with if you "brake" flanges on each
side of that Fus-39 panel( strengthens it too!). Without the flanges on each
side, the sheet will look like a wave coming in off the lake as you try to
get the bulkheads in place. With the flanges on each side, the sheet will
sit nice and flat and be MUCH easier to work with.
