I'm using the Whelen Nav/Pos/Strobe all in one wingtip lights and anThis is a great idea - it DOES cut down on the noise. Also, you
only have 12 Volts going out to the tip, instead of several bajillion !
Of course, this approach depends on the kind of strobes you have -
the Kunzelman type are designed this way, but the Whelens only have
ONE central box, so it must go in the cockpit (usually mounted on the
fuselage side, behind the baggage area curtain).

Aeroflash strobe power supply in each wing. The Aeroflash supplies were
much cheaper than the Whelen supplies and have the same connector for the
strobe bulbs. They seem to work well together. They don't have the
capability to be syncronized but I don't see that as a problem.
