Fuel Tank Sending Gauge

Post by Craig Walls » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:32 pm

We have decided not to use the sight gauges with our tanks. Can anyone tell
us which fuel gauge/sending unit they have used with success? We're at the
point of putting holes in the root rib and must make a decision.

RE: Fuel Tank Sending Gauges

Here is a link to Service Bulletins and Modifiations page.

Look for a article there titled... Capacitance type fuel sender under builder
MODS.

You guys should really try to use this site that mike started years ago.

PS... you should order the fuel probe direct from Westach as they will
custom make it to your specs.

How hard is it to install the capacitive type fuel senders if the wings are
already closed up? My wings are closed and I was thinking it woud be easier
to install mechnical float type senders, even though the capacitive type
seem like a more accurate and reliable solution.
