and the wall thickness is at least as great - Id guess - probably OK.
Will MAM give an opinion since they can't provide the part? I think the
rounded tube is 2024-T3 which is much stronger than 6061T6 but I'm sure
a whole 6061 piece is stronger than half a 2024 piece for bungee type
gear and also stronger than the rivets.
