My Super Rebel had two access holes in the bottom tank skin pre-cut by MAM.
I just had to add a backing doubler and then fit the access panels provided
by MAM. If a Rebel doesn't have these there's no reason why you couldn't
cut your own between the ribs. These access holes are large and are
essential for applying Pro-Seal.

Subject: [rebel-builders] Wing Questions
Hi all!
Still working on the wing. Does anyone have a pattern for the doubler
section at the wing strut, the one with the 2 access holes on either side of
the spar?
Opinions concerning cutting access holes in the bottom tank skin?
What about any suggestions for nav and strobe lights? Thanks, Craig

Craig,
If you want, MAM will sell you the wing strut access port doublers all
nicely drilled to match the spar/rib rivet patterns. That's how I got mine.
They were reasonable. They're shown in some detail in the 16/08/99 edition
of Ch. 10.10, p. 5. If you don't have that, I can send the .doc file to you.

[rebel-builders] Wing Questions
Drew, I'm on the fence as far as the lights go. It's more because of the
money than the time. I have quite a bit of time to work on the plane.
Ron, Can you direct me to info on the Fife tips? I have asked several
people and no luck. Is anyone using them in the group? Do they provide a
performance increase?
Also, regarding the speed cowl from MAM; does it come needing a lot of work
to fit it? Anyone have opinions about it? I like the look. A builder on
this site has one for sale and the pictures look like it takes mucho work to
install it. Anyone?
BTW, I got the first four stringers drilled and in place on the wing today.
:)
