Hello

It was surely not me on the picture... but I will try to help you anyway!

The small angle drill usually cost between $200.00-$400.00 ea. I bought a
used one from "The Yard" couple years ago for +/- $100.00. I do not use it
very often, but when you need it, you need it! www.yardstore.com You can
also find many attachments to transform a standard drill...

I wasn't in the picture either, but years ago I bought a small angle drill
adapter from Harbour Freight. It chucks into an air or electric drill and works
reasonably well. The old model (with a Jacobs Chuck) has been discontinued,
replaced by a keyles chuck. Nothing fancy, but for under $20, it can reach
places nothing else in my shop will.

All the drill and attachement I was talking about, use 1/4"-28 threaded
bit... so no big chuck....

Fred,

Recently, I had to get into a space that was only 1 1/8", and the $80
angle attachment that went on my regular drill wasn't nearly small
enough. Eventually, I got a right angle pneumatic drill with the the
smallest head height I could find, which was at Aircraft Spruce
<http://aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topag ... rill1.php/>. US Tool
also has this same unit. It's not cheap, but it is incredibly useful,
especially now that I'm working on the panel. It's become one of those
"how did I manage without this before" tools.

More important, perhaps, were the _very_ short drill bits ("stubbies") I
found at Brown Tool. Look under "threaded drill bits" at
http://www.browntool.com . The combination of their shortest bits and
the short head height drill has allowed me to get into some very tight
places.
